Lee Barney has taken over as the chief information security officer (CISO) for infrastructure builder Ventia.
He was most recently CISO at TPG Telecom for close to three years before leaving in June of last year.
Prior to this, he also held a number of interim and permanent CISO roles in the UK for companies including Condé Nast, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer.
In a post on LinkedIn, Barney said that Ventia operates at the heart of critical infrastructure; supporting defence, telecommunications, transport and more.
"Keeping those services running safely and reliably is what I do, and I’m pleased to be joining a company where I can keep doing exactly that," he said.
