Adelaide-headquartered distributor Leader has appointed Tim O’Neill as its new Microsoft sales manager.

In his new role, O'Neill will focus on enhancing Leader’s cloud service offerings and ensuring partners have an efficient business experience with the company.

He has over 20 years' experience in the IT channel, having most recently served as Asia-Pacific sales manager for BitTitan.

O'Neill was previously Microsoft solution sales manager at Dicker Data, where during his seven years at the company he also served in multiple Microsoft-related roles.

His other stints include sales roles at Ericom, The VTS IT Group, BigAir Group and Telstra.

"I am thrilled to join Leader Cloud, a 100 per cent Australian company that genuinely cares about supporting partners of all sizes from the outset of their journey,” O'Neill said.

"Leader is unique in its ability to help partners scale from startup to national success stories and have a long history of supporting partners in their growth journey."

“Whether you're a small IT business or a large enterprise, we are committed to providing support and helping you seize the vast cloud opportunities, especially in the Microsoft AI era."

"It's an exciting time to be part of a company prioritising Australian IT businesses' success."

Leader said O'Neill's appointment will help ensure future collaborations in the IT industry, particularly with Microsoft's AI advancements.

“At Leader our purpose is to help our resellers grow and be highly profitable and we are immensely proud to be a Microsoft Cloud distributor," said Ben Klason, director of enterprise and marketing at Leader.

"Tim brings many years of experience. His extensive knowledge of Microsoft and connections will offer a significant advantage to our partners to help them build their MSP business."

"There are significant opportunities for IT Channel partners to grow in 2024, especially with Copilot and our new Daas offerings."

"We are very excited we have someone of Tim's caliber to help grow our partner MSP business."
