Asia Pacific-focused insurance and risk legal business Wotton Kearney has added Lana Remedi to its Cyber, Privacy and Technology practice.
Remedi joins as a partner, based out of Sydney, after serving as special counsel at Colin Biggers & Paisley for the last four years.
She has advised on a wide range of complex cyber issues, including privacy compliance, mandatory notification obligations, and the defence of third-party claims – both litigated and non-litigated.
Remedi also serves on the NSW committee of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) and is the founder and chair of AILA’s Cyber committee. Through this committee, she leads conversations around the impact of digital transformation and cyber risks on the insurance industry.
“Lana has a strong reputation in cyber and data protection” said Kieran Doyle, head of cyber, privacy and technology at Wotton Kearney.
“Her deep expertise and thought leadership in the industry, which is well regarded in the market, make her an exceptional addition to our team.”
"I look forward to collaborating with the firm’s talented team and joining forces to guide our clients through the increasingly complex and dynamic landscape of cyber threats and digital risk," said Remedi.
Since Wotton Kearney’s founding in 2002, the firm has grown from two partners to 96, now with over 500 legal professionals across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.
