The 31-year-old online retailer Ruslan Kogan has leapt into the rankings of Australia's richest people with a ranking in this year's BRW Rich 200.
The magazine ranks Kogan's wealth at $320 million, placing him at number 162 on the list, which is published today.
It is the first time Kogan has been listed on the BRW Rich 200, havinf previously been ranked on BRW's Young Rich list.
Kogan joins the likes of Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, who have moved into the ranks of Australia's billionaires for the first time. The two have wealth of $1.07 billion and $1.06 billion respectively, and this year are ranked in the top 40 of the wealthiest Australians, according to BRW.
Also on the list for the first time is Matt Barrie of Freelancer.com and Owen Kerr from Pepperstone, a foreign exchange trading broker.
Others tech people on this year's BRW Rich 200 include:
- Craig Winkler, Xero - $712 million
- Chris Morris, Computershare - $698 million
- Andrew & Paul Bassat, Square Peg Capital - $466 million each
- Tony Wales, Computershare - $396 million
Also rising in the BRW Rich 200 rankings is Gerry Harvey and TPG founders David and Vicky Teoh.
