Kogan has responded to the latest product releases at CES 2018 this year with its first convertible laptop priced at $399.
The Kogan Atlas 13-inch C300 notebook converts into a tablet with a 360-degree rotating hinge. It's fitted with a 13.3-inch display with a 1920x1080 resolution and comes with Windows 10 Home installed.
The specifications are similar to the $349 Atlas UltraSlim X300 notebook that Kogan debuted in November. It's powered by an Intel Celeron N3450 quad-core processor, 4GB of ram and a 64GB hard drive, with an SSD expansion slot supporting up to 512GB of extra storage.
Kogan product manager Sergiy Brobrovnychyy said the new convertible was just a fraction of the price compared to competitors.
Some of the hybrid devices announced at CES last week include Lenovo's Miix 630 tablet starts at US$799 (A$999), Dell's Latitude 5490 2-in-1 starts at US$779 (A$974) and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet starts at US$1599 (A$2000).
“Our news feeds have been flooded with the latest devices and consumer gadgets from CES 2018. Although impressive, the latest gadgets are often too expensive for many Australians," said Brobrovnychyy.

The Atlas 13-inch C300 is available exclusively at Kogan's online store and begins shipping on 25 January.
In November, Kogan also released the Atlas 2-in-1 D300 notebook priced at $199.
