The Australian Department of Defence has selected Australian-owned technology services provider Kinetic IT for a two-year contract, with options to extend to a maximum of four years, to deliver mission-critical ICT Service Desk, Switchboard, and Base Services Contact Centre services.
Under the agreement, Kinetic IT will continue to deliver ICT Service Desk and Switchboard services while expanding its support to include the Base Services Contact Centre, a new national capability providing Defence personnel with rapid assistance for on-base enquiries and services.
"Defence plays a critical role in Australia’s national security, and we are proud to provide the ICT capabilities that support its mission," Kinetic IT's MD for Defence and Federal Government, Leighton Freene, said
“This agreement recognises the strength of our sovereign solutions; the technical capability of our staff and our dedication to evergreen customer service.”
Kinetic IT has been a partner of the Department’s ICT ecosystem since 2019 and has 250 Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) cleared personnel dedicated to Department of Defence systems, with more than 700 additional AGSVA-cleared personnel across a national workforce of over 1,500 employees.
