Former Veeam, HP and Dell staffer Michelle Dawson has moved to Kaseya to take up the ANZ channel sales manager role.
Dawson joined Kaseya this month after serving 19 months as inside channel manager for Veeam Australia.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Veeam. They provided me with fantastic insight into to the Australian channel and disruptive technology space as well as the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of people," Dawson told CRN.
Kaseya, a systems management software vendor, appointed Kellie Hackney as its first-ever ANZ channel sales director in December. Then in January ANZ managing director Dermot McCann departed for Optus, leaving Hackney in charge of the local arm as the APJ sales director.
Dawson said that Kaseya's recent change in strategy had prompted the defection.
"After hearing that Kaseya had recently changed its route to market and is now 100 percent channel driven, I saw this as an excellent opportunity to the grow the ANZ channel and expand Kaseya’s footprint regionally," said Dawson, adding that she would report to Hackney.
Before Veeam, Dawson was in Canada as a global account manager for HP. She has also been a sales representative for Dell Australia.
A Veeam spokesperson told CRN that Dawson's replacement in the NSW/ACT inside channel manager position would start on 1 July, but did disclose the person's identity.
CRN reported earlier this month that Veeam's partner business manager Aggie Szemplinska and ANZ field sales manager Jonathan Silver had also left, with both joining PernixData.
