This new partnership provides NSC customers with access to technology outside basic data switching including WAN acceleration and security.
Craig Neil, managing director at NSC Group said this initiative will be of particular benefit to our many customers with branches located throughout Australasia.
"The increased adoption of IP telephony and video applications, as well as the deployment of new applications is driving an increasing demand for higher bandwidth," he said.
"With the convergence of voice and data, Juniper is an excellent fit.
"We have had the voice part right for sometime and are now strengthening our data play."
Neil said the integration of Avaya's (NSC's IP telephony vendor partner) communication applications and endpoint devices with Juniper's routing and security solutions allows consolidation of branch office routing, security, switching and IP telephony functionality in a single device.
"In many branch offices the network infrastructure can no longer satisfy the need for seamless connectivity and LAN-like application performance over the WAN," he said.
Rob Finn, channel manager A/NZ of Juniper Networks said NSc was a good fit for the vendor.
"Juniper also work with Avaya, an NSC vendor partner," he said.
"NSC brings both vendors together for customers."
The voice integrator has committed to the highest level of Juniper certification and the engagement between the two companies is already produced very positive results, said Finn.
NSC can also count Sun, Microsoft, Polycom, Verint, Nice, RAD, Enterasys and Alcatel Lucent, as vendor partners.
Neil said NSC is moving to a multi-vendor play - primarily driven by its managed services business.
