Juniper hails its APAC “fast track” training
The program enables qualified professionals, including those certified by rival Cisco, to become certified in the Juniper Networks routing operating system, JUNOS.

JUNOS-based courseware is available to participants at no cost, along with 50 percent savings on exams for enterprise routing associate-level (JNCIA-ER) and specialist-level (JNCIS-ER) certifications.

Juniper is extending the program, which has now attracted more than 7000 Asia Pacific applicants, to the end of 2008. It will also expand the curriculum to encompass the company’s recently announced JUNOS-based Ethernet switching portfolio and additional subject areas.

Sander Dales, vice president of customer services for Asia Pacific at Juniper, said: “There’s an increasing number of engineering professionals eager to capitalise on the growing market opportunity for JUNOS expertise. Being JUNOS-certified is the best way to address this market demand.

“We are very pleased with the program’s success and, to build further on its momentum, have removed the original requirement for Cisco certification. Now any experienced networking professional is eligible to learn more about the business value JUNOS offers system integrators and end-users of our networking and security solutions.”

Juniper’s program accelerates time-to-market for networking professionals already experienced with other industry solutions – including, but not limited to, networkers with Cisco Certified Networking Associates (CCNA), Cisco Certified Networking Professionals (CCNP), and Cisco Certified Internetworking Engineers (CCIE) qualifications.
