The company recently hired channel manager Chris Horsley-Wyatt and will launch a new version of its software iD 3.0 in Australia and New Zealand in the coming months.
The ADWEB Agency, creators of iD recently won the CeBIT.AU Platinum Award for Export Excellence, which recognises its international export success seen in its intranet, extranet and portal solution marketed in 65 countries.
The company operates a successful partner network and wants to replicate the program in A/NZ.
Horsley-Wyatt said iD wants to recruit 15 resellers in total.
The company is looking for a combination of A/NZ partners including Web developers, system integrators, software specialists, consultants in marketing, communications, HR, physical design agencies and managed services companies.
It will operate from its HQ in Melbourne with representatives covering all states.
"We wanted to enter the A/NZ market because we had companies approaching us to sell our products and we also noticed a lot of deals currently in the market that we are not servicing, such as a lot of Microsoft SharePoint deals, so we wanted to expand our coverage," said Horsley-Wyatt .
He said it will launch a new version of its flagship product, the intranet, extranet and portal platform iD 3.0 which is an upgrade of its communications platform, including enterprise search and wiki-like content management system (CMS), as well as features to help businesses streamline and manage their corporate communications soon.
The solution was previewed at CeBIT and Horsley-Wyatt said it is going to be a big player in the market.
"We have some exciting features and have improved the applications to make us more competitive," he said.
"Depending on the level of services resellers can provide we are not sure if the channel program will have a tier system.
"Resellers that have services can retain all revenue from those services while others will make licensing only commission sales."
He added that as part of the channel program, iD will run joint events to support resellers in sales and marketing. There will be support from head office and training.
As 3.0 goes to market the company will be making more partnership announcements.
Talking about the recognition at CeBIT.AU Connie Pandos, co-founder and director of The ADWEB Agency said she was thrilled because it is an Australian company successfully competing on the international stage.
"We've built a great US and UK partner network and we're looking at extending our global partner network to continue to grow," she said.
"We see a big opportunity for further growth as our new release, iD 3.0, offers the most affordable alternative to SharePoint on the market."
