Intelligent Software scoops double iAward

The company has developed SimulAIt, a simulation application to create virtual cities to model and test products, policies or infrastructure, focusing on high impact areas such as water management and climate changes.

The software extracts Behavioural Business Intelligence by using behavioural simulation to test ideas in a virtual replica of the real world where mistakes are inexpensive and involve minimal risk.

The SimulAIt program, developed by Adelaide-based Intelligent Software Development, collected awards in the financial application category and the sustainability and green IT award.

"SimulAIt uses advanced artificial intelligence to bring data to life," said Don Perugini CEO Intelligent Software.

"By crystalising a vast quantity of complex data and human behaviours, SimulAIt enables you to create virtual replicas of complete cities.

"This allows strategic planners to test the effectiveness of new products, policies or infrastructure before they are implemented, thereby gaining insight into the future impact of their strategic decisions," he added.

The iAwards (innovation Awards) are Australia's ICT industry awards.

Each year, the Australian Information Industry Association runs the event as a member of the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards to reward the regional technology community.

Of the six companies that won iAwards in SA, Intelligent Software Development was the only one to win awards in two categories.

Another company to win an award was Ideas International which picked up the NSW Sustainability and Green IT iAward for its Server CAR submission.

Through a database of over 14,000 server options, Server CAR allows users to select the best server consolidation option, with results on reduced power and cooling costs and server numbers.

"It's fantastic that we have won this award for the Server CAR which recognises the power that our tools have in helping Australian and global companies easily examine their data centre power costs and carbon output," said Stephen Bowhill, CEO Ideas International.

Winners of the state iAwards will go on to compete at the national awards which will be announced at the iAwards gala dinner on 27th May.
