Ingram Micro’s Solutions Group has announced the winners of its inaugural awards ceremony, held this week at The Establishment in Sydney.
Twelve months ago, Ingram Micro Australia launched the Solutions Group to leverage from the Infrastructure Solutions and Licensing Solutions Divisions.
Around 150 resellers, vendors and Ingram Micro staff attended the awards night to celebrate their success in being able to provide robust solutions to the channel.
John Walters, director of commercial and solutions group said the entire [Solutions] team have done a tremendous job in the past 12 months in bringing this strategy to market.
“We are seeing the rewards both in terms of deeper channel engagement and increased revenues for resellers and vendors, and of course ourselves. These awards are testament to the technology that we can now support and provide, with pieces of work showcased tonight which were beyond our capability before establishment of the Solutions Group,” he said.
The winners from the awards night included; Peter Pollari, vendor manager for Juniper Networks at Ingram Micro was named Solution Vendor Manager of the Year; the Ingram Micro Licensing Administration Team was awarded the Solution Team Player of the Year; the Solution Deal of the Year was awarded to reseller, Daltron (Gary Larking, Daltron pictured with Guy Freeland); Solution of the Year was awarded to the reseller, Bekkers; Solution Vendor of the Year, was awarded to Hewlett Packard (James Moore, HP accepts the award from Guy Freeland); and Solution Reseller of the Year was awarded to Commander.
Guy Freeland, managing director at Ingram Micro Australia said the distributor has a strong commitment to the success of the Solutions Group.
“We have very deliberately invested heavily in people with the requisite technical and other skills to be relevant in the infrastructure and software solutions space, and have augmented this with essential support through establishment of our technical lab, configuration centre and Orbital training programmes,” he said.
