Ingram Micro Australia general manager, advanced solutions group Jon Fox has left the distributor after seven years.
He will move into a channel role at an unnamed vendor starting 4 July.
“Jon has been with Ingram the past six-and-a-half years working very successfully across our enterprise portfolio, positioning Ingram as a strong competitor in the value space, as well as being instrumental in the successful turnaround of our business over the last few years,” Ingram Australia chief country manager Felix Wong said.
Fox joined Ingram Micro in 2009 as an IBM, APC and secured networks business manager before moving to a sales manager role in 2011.
In 2012, he was promoted to senior enterprise manager for Ingram’s enterprise hardware business, including Cisco, EMC, HP, ESSN, IBM and APC - before moving to the general manager, advanced solutions role in 2014.
“[Fox] has assembled a strong vendor line up and rebuilt the enterprise go to market team and leaves the business in a strong position. We thank Jon for all his dedication and hard work and we now wish him all the very best in his future exploits in the industry,” said Wong.
Fox’s departure follows other recent changes to Ingram’s senior executive team. Ingram’s HP business manager Chris Price was promoted to senior general manager of vendor management, while former Toshiba general manager of information systems Rob Wilkinson was hired as general manager of retail sales.
Former managing director Matt Sanderson is also leaving the company to take the chief executive role at Ingram Micro’s UK and Ireland arm.
