Ingram Micro adds Xiaomi, AvePoint's Dynamics 365 backup

Ingram Micro has become the exclusive distributor of Xiaomi in Australia, after reaching an agreement with local partner Panmi earlier this month.

The distributor also added AvePoint’s Dynamics 365 Backup solution to its portfolio.

As part of the deal with Panmi, Ingram will also sell the company’s other brands including Ninebot-Segway, Aqara and YeeLight.

“We’re passionate about innovation and Xiaomi’s core value is innovation for everyone, amazing products with honest pricing,” Panmi chief executive Daniel Wang said.

“This philosophy along with Ingram’s extraordinary facilitation capabilities will not only give Aussies a taste of what’s on offer, but form the foundation of a new vision for everyday life.”

In April, Panmi opened a Xiaomi showroom in Sydney where shoppers can see its handsets, consumer IoT devices, electric scooters, accessories and even luggage.

It also sells Xiaomi products through its own Australian web presence and deals with Amazon Australia, eBay and Catch.

“We are proud to be partnering with Panmi and to be able to offer the full range of products that they have to offer to the Australian Consumer Market, allowing Panmi to leverage the Ingram Logistics, Solutions capability, and Finance offerings,” Ingram Micro SVP country chief executive Felix Wong said.

Meanwhile, Ingram also reached an agreement with AvePoint to distribute its Dynamics 365 backup solution through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.

The solution can granularly restore Dynamics 365 entities and records and ensure business continuity by recovering data within minutes.

“Partners can now extend their Microsoft Cloud services and add Backup as a Service for crucial Dynamics CRM workloads, AvePoint ANZ director of channel and alliances Andre Carpenter said.

“In addition to Office 365 Cloud Backup already offered on the Ingram Cloud Marketplace, Dynamics 365 Cloud Backup was the most demanded solution from channel partners in the ANZ region.”
