Ingram introduces MacBooks to the ChugPlug and the Mutant
Lenmar's ChugPlug

Ingram Micro has partnered with New Zealand-based distributor SeeChange to bring mobile power products to the Australian channel.

American power manufacturer Lenmar produces a range of mobile power products such as iPhone and Samsung Galaxy battery cases, laptop and MacBook portable batteries and "a selection of innovative cables".

The Ingram deal will bring more than 1300 power products to the Australian channel.

Notable products include the ChugPlug, "a unique external battery solution" for the MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

"MacBook users have been screaming out for a portable power solution for years and at last Lenmar has delivered them a solution," according to Ingram.

Another Lenmar product is "the Mutant", a 20,800mAh portable battery pack comes with four USB ports and up to 2.4A output.

Julian Phua, senior director, volume technology at Ingram Micro, says there is definitely a need to be more accessible, more of the time.

"Within our current environment there is a constant demand to make sure there is no downtime. Lenmar has a number of power products that will cover the breadth of the market."

SeeChange is a distributor for Lenmar in Australia and New Zealand – partnering with Ingram in both countries gives the Lenmar range "much larger customer reach", said an Ingram spokesperson.

SeeChange managing director Joe Caccioppoli said: "We are a generation that is constantly on the go, with little time to slow down and recharge, so many Australians are looking for innovative products that can keep up with them and power their busy lifestyles.

"It is exciting to be working with Ingram Micro to bring these amazing, award-winning products to the channel."
