Infotrust has appointed Paul Timmins as its new chief executive officer, with Julian Challingsworth set to transition out.
Timmins has previously held chief executive, managing director and senior executive roles across enterprise services, consulting and global software ecosystems.
Most recently, he was chief executive of Protegic, an Australian technology consulting and transformation firm, and before that was CEO of Davidson Technology. He has also held global leadership roles at DXC Technology, including responsibility for the Microsoft Dynamics practice.
Infotrust said it has undergone "significant transformation" under Challingsworth's leadership, who departs as part of an agreed leadership transition.
The company said that since his appointment in July 2022, he has repositioned Infotrust to a "focused, cyber-first and managed technology business", with key achievements highlighted during his tenure including returning the managed technology segment to consistent profitability, strategic re-positioning of the company to cyber security and resetting the balance sheet through the divestment of non-core assets.
In February, Aussie Broadband entered into a binding agreement to acquire Nexgen, a provider of business communication solutions, from Infotrust for a possible total value of $50 million.
In March, Infotrust agreed to acquire 100% of Canberra‑based specialist cyber security firm Catalyst Cyber in a performance‑linked transaction valued at approximately $5 million.
The company also advised it expects H2 FY26 underlying EBITDA of approximately $2.3 million.
Prior to Spirit Technologies and Infotrust aligning under a single national brand of Infotrust, Spirit's unaudited FY25 trading update showed the company achieving underlying EBITDA of $11 million, up from $1.7 million in FY24.
