The wholesale distributor of audio visual (AV) products will now be based in Auckland. The new headquarters will provide IDT’s product support, sales experience and product management to New Zealand resellers in the AV market.
IDT’s managing director, Gerry Wilkins, claimed the opening will provide some fresh opportunities for the New Zealand audio visual channel.
“There are a large number of excellent resellers and integrators across New Zealand and this office will allow IDT to make high quality AV equipment more accessible for local resellers and end users. It will also allow IDT to support these channel relationships more closely and successfully,” said Wilkins.
Product ranges represented by IDT will be progressively introduced to New Zealand, with initial offerings to include InFocus Home Theatre Video Projectors, OS Screens, Premier Mounts and NEC Plasma, LCD and Data/Video Projectors.
IDT’s New Zealand office will be headed by industry veteran Graeme Durham, who brings extensive experience in the audio visual market. Wilkins said this will allow IDT to both strengthen existing channel relationships and establish new resellers and end user contacts in the region.
