Identifly's chief strategy officer for APAC moves on

Aaron Finnis is leaving his role as chief strategy officer APAC at Identifly.

He joined three years ago after serving as group IT security manager for Flinders Port Holdings.

Prior to this, he also worked as the group IT security manager for Beach Energy and held a number of roles over a six-year stint at Flinders University, his final position being associate director of the Office of the CIO & CISO.

"The plan was always to move on once we had achieved the goals we set out to accomplish - and Identifly was ready for its next chapter. I am incredibly proud to say we have reached that point, and whilst it is bittersweet, it is time for me to move on," Finnis said in a LinkedIn post announcing his departure, Finnis said his plan was always to move on once he’d achieved his goals.

During his tenure, the company has grown its staff from eight to 35 people and has increased its customer base from 11 to over 50. The business also now has its own Adelaide headquarters, with branches in Perth and soon, Queensland.

"The numbers are the easy part. What I'm most proud of is that the work behind them was done properly, and that was never down to one person. I'm proud to have been part of Identifly’s growth," Finnis said.

"As for what is next, I am extremely excited to announce that I will be starting as Deputy Government CIO (Director, Government Technology Services) at DTF in SA. I am very much looking forward to the challenge and growth this role will bring in serving the South Australian public."
