Personal Broadband Australia (PBA) has appointed a chief executive for its iBurst business, Jonathan Withers.
The appointment will see Withers – who has been a part of PBA since 2002 – concentrate on expanding iBurst’s wireless broadband capabilities across Australia.
He was technical strategy director with Vodafone Pacific prior to joining PBA.
In a statement Wither’s said iBurst’s expansion was linked to Commander’s acquisition of PBA in June 2005.
“It gave PBA the necessary strength and stability required to take the business to the next phase of its development,” he said. “It’s a good fit for both parties since we both focus on providing enterprise-class services."
Commander’s chief executive, Adrian Coote, said Commander and PBA had enjoyed a long-term relationship and were excited about the capabilities offered by iBurst.
