IBM Australia vice president for global markets Wesley McDonald has departed to Salesforce, joining as key accounts director this month.
Replacing him at IBM is Shelly Lowe in the newly renamed role of vice president for enterprise and commercial. Prior to her local appointment, she held the same role with IBM Canada.
Spokespersons from IBM and Salesforce confirmed the change.
McDonald was named vice president for global markets in September 2016, and served for just under two years before his departure this month.
He held various management and senior sales roles within IBM, joining the company in 1986 as a system engineer.
His later roles included ANZ general manager of systems, vice president for financial services and client director, and he also worked with clients such as Telstra.
Earlier this month, IBM hired Craig McGregor as new routes manager for the company’s global business partner team. McGregor had departed Check Point Software Technologies after three years as channel sales director.
In February, former IBM general manager business partner growth for ANZ Nigel Peach stepped down from his role after six months.
