HPE names former Enterprise Services sales lead Marina Fronek as Australian channel chief

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has appointed Marina Fronek as its new Australian head of channel following the departure of South Pacific SMB and channel director Chris Trevitt in August.

Fronek had served as HPE's commercial and public sector director since 2014. Prior to that, she had been sales director for HP Enterprise Services since 2011 when she joined from IBM.

Fronek spent nine years at IBM, beginning in sales roles and completing her tenure as an executive for strategic services, engagement and outsourcing.’

It is understood that Fronek will report to HPE South Pacific managing director Stephen Bovis.

The appointment is part of a wider management restructure of the HPE South Pacific sales organisation, according to an internal organisation chart seen by CRN.

Pat Devlin, who had been acting in the channel chief role since Trevitt's departure, is now in charge of territory sales; Chris Weber has moved from his role running services division HPE Pointnext to lead enterprise sales; and Pat Matthews has been put in charge of Pointnext.

HPE's staff and top-tier partners were informed of the appointment on Friday, almost two months after they learned of the shock departure of Trevitt and South Pacific partner manager Nicholas Lambrou on 17 August.

Trevitt had been with HPE for less than 18 months, having joined from EMC in March 2016. He replaced former HPE channel chief Kaaren Lewis, who is now at Commvault.
