Hewlett-Packard has unveiled a new line of inkjet printers for SME businesses.
The HP Officejet Pro printer series is designed for SOHO, Microbiz and small businesses with up to 99 employees.
HP claimed the Officejet range delivers small business up to a 30 percent lower cost per page than laser printers alongside faster print speeds.
Speaking at the Sydney launch, Steve Trang, market development manager for business inkjet printing at HP South Pacific, said small businesses face a lot of issues, including controlling costs, while increasing productively to grow their businesses.
“Officejet offers a unique proposition as it is lower cost and faster than laser printing. Previously the Officejet range has been strong in the consumer market, but we have introduced five new models for small businesses,” he said.
Trang added the Officejet range is targeted at small business which have an unmanaged IT environment and want a colour printer while spending less than $500.
