HP anoints local PC channel chief

HP Australia has appointed company veteran Margrith Appleby to the role of channel sales director with its personal systems group (PSG).

Appleby has more than 27 years experience in various sales roles and was most recently sales director for HP’s PSG commercial sales team where she focused on driving business across the key verticals of government and education as well as enterprise and global accounts.

In her new role she will be charged with the planning and delivery of channel strategies for HP’s PSG division across commercial, SMB, distribution and retail segments.

“HP PSG is a strong, channel-driven business and I am excited to take on my new role in this space,” Appleby said. “The channel can continue to rely on HP and PSG to deliver leading products and service to our partners and customers in 2012."

Appleby will report to HP’s south pacific PSG VP Janice Cox, who said the former sales executive would help the company to further develop its relationships with the channel.
