Cloud services provider Hosted Network has partnered with Veeam Software to utilise its Cloud Connect backup software.
Cloud Connect allows customers to replicate backup offsite to a secondary location hosted by a service provider.
It is made up of three components: the cloud gateway, the cloud repository and the WAN accelerator.
The platform is aimed at helping customers avoid the costs of building and maintaining additional infrastructure, instead allowing them to backup to a service provider's infrastructure on a pay-as-you-go model.
Service providers can license the Veeam technology through the company's cloud provider program. They manage the platform within the Veeam backup console.
Hosted Network said through Veeam Cloud Connect it would be able to deliver complete visibility control and end-to-end encryption, among other things.
“Backups really have never been easier and mastering the crucial ‘3-2-1 rule’ of keeping three copies of data, on two types of storage, with one copy being offsite is more achievable and affordable than ever before," managing director Ben Town said in a statement.
Hosted Network was an early adopter of SolidFire’s all-flash array for its data centre.
