Hostech makes eighth acquisition this year

ASX-listed regional IT services provider Hostech has grown its footprint in Albury after acquiring network integrator Netrics.

The latest acquisition was Hostech's eighth this year and was expected to close by September 20. Financial details were not disclosed.

Last week Hostech acquired IT services provider D2K Townsville for $90,000.

Hostech had a team in Albury through the acquisition of Aspirence. Staff from Netrics including principal Jeff Dallinger would join Hostech's Albury team.

Local operators such as Netrics provided a "depth of connection with their customers", Hostech's executive chairman Peter Kazacos said.

"Our focus is to build on that strength with carrier-grade technology offerings that will provide a richer set of products to the people of Albury and throughout regional Australia.

"That means finding local, talented individuals, like Jeff Dallinger; successful people who share our vision for the future of technology in regional small businesses," Kazacos said.
