Heavy-hitters from Cisco, EMC and HP to speak at Canalys

One of the biggest channel-centric events in the region has released some of the heavy-hitting speakers who will take the stage.

Canalys Channels Forum is set to for Shanghai in November, the second time the SMB and midmarket-skewed reseller event will visit this part of the world.

Last year's event in Bangkok, Thailand, welcomed a who's who of the Australian channel. Check out the photos here.

Each of the four keynote sponsors will field a speaker at the event, and so far the organisers have announced three big names: Bill Veghte, HP's executive vice president and general manager, Enterprise Group; Chad Sakac, EMC's senior vice-president, global pre-sales and Nick Earle, Cisco's senior vice president, worldwide cloud & managed services sales.

The speaker from the fourth keynote sponsor, Microsoft, has not been announced.

Last year's biggest name was HP chief executive Meg Whitman.

One of CRN's highlights from the 2013 event was the interview style of Canalys chief executive Steve Brazier, who put the vendor keynote speakers through their paces with well-informedquestions and a pull-no-punches attitude – with a heavy focus on the channel.

CRN is a media partner of the 2014 Canalys Channels Forum APAC, which takes place in Shanghai on 4-6 November.
