She takes over from Gary Denman.

Svendsen will be responsible for strengthening Google Cloud’s local channel ecosystem and deepening key partner relationships

She was most recently EGM of corporate at SAP, having also previously served as regional VP of sales at Salesforce, head of small medium and corporate scale for ANZ at Microsoft and global director of partnerships and product at Xero.

"Gretta's deep experience will be instrumental in helping our partners to create innovation and deliver AI-first customer outcomes," he said.

"We thank Gary for his valuable contribution to our business over the last six years, and wish him all the best for his next endeavor."

Svendsen described Google as "one of the world’s leading AI companies with an extraordinary growth trajectory".

"Joining at this moment to lead the channel for Google Cloud and unlock the full potential of the ecosystem feels like a once-in-a-career opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started in helping our regional customers and partners deliver AI-led outcomes," she said.
