Goodman Group, an Australian provider of essential infrastructure, has provided the market with an update on its SYD01 data centre that it's currently building in Sydney.
In a Q3 FY26 operational update, the company said that power infrastructure works are underway, as is powered shell and Phase 1 mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fitouts.
Goodman Group also said that "active discussions" are currently happening with multiple customers, with these expected to accelerate as construction progresses towards Phase 1 of being 'ready for service' in early 2028.
Located in the Macquarie Park Availability Zone and possessing 90MW of total capacity, the single building data centre offers flexible deployments for single or multi-customers.
The company also has a data centre in Melbourne and Auckland, with another 13 worldwide.
Globally, Goodman Group said that its data centre power bank has increased to 6.4 GW, with 3.6 GW of secured power and 2.8 GW in advanced stages of procurement.
Power, planning and infrastructure works are also progressing across the power bank, with secured power expected to increase substantially in the next six to 12 months.
The Group has established a range of data centre investment vehicles with long-term capital and strategic joint venture partners, with development partnerships formed in continental Europe, Hong Kong and Japan, with Australia in progress.
In 2025, Goodman Group announced it is raising A$4 billion in a share placement to fund its data centre business growth plans.
