Network connectivity company Emulex Corporation has appointed industry veteran Chris Gibbs as its vice president of sales for Asia Pacific and Japan for the Endace division.
Gibbs will manage the Endace Network Visibility Products' (NVP) field team and develop partner relationships for the company's network visibility products and services in the growing Asia Pacific region.
"We're excited to welcome Chris to our team," said Mike Riley, senior vice president and general manager, Endace division of Emulex.
"His proven sales and executive leadership experience will enable us to capitalise on the growing opportunities we are seeing in our network visibility business in the rapidly growing Asia Pacific region."
Gibbs said: "I am thrilled to join such a highly skilled team and I look forward to growing our presence across Asia Pacific and Japan.
"I am confident that the Asia Pacific region will be one of our fastest growing geographies and will represent a sizeable part of our NVP portfolio in the very near future."
Gibbs has two decades of IT sales and sales management experience. His most recent position was at CA where we was the vice president of global accounts for global communications service providers in Asia Pacific and Japan at CA Technologies.
