German-headquartered business software specialist GBTEC Software has launched its presence in Asia-Pacific by opening a Brisbane office.
GBTEC offers software solutions for business process management, governance, risk and compliance. The company’s flagship product is called BIC Cloud – a business process management solution for modeling, analysing, optimising and automating business processes.
The company boasts more than 700 customers including Airbus, Mitsubishi, Vodafone, and “various federal ministries” and universities.
The local arm will be led by Daniel Rayner, who announced that GBTEC has already signed up Bank of Queensland as its first customer in the region.
Rayner told CRN that GBTEC also has one consulting partner in Australia, and is in talks with other consultants to work with on local projects as opposed to a straight reseller arrangement. As for customers, GBTEC will initially target government departments and the financial services industries in Australia.
“Besides the acquisition of new customers, I continuously enhance the existing network in Australia and further develop partner cooperations,” said Rayner. “These activities enabled us to win the Bank of Queensland as one of the first customers here.”
“This is the foundation for our successful expansion and allows us to establish GBTEC as leading vendor of BPM software in this region.”
GBTEC founder and chief executive Gregor Greinke said the APAC region was identified as a key market for future growth.
