Fujitsu Australia tells resellers 'differentiate on notebooks to earn top margins'

He said in the current climate, resellers should be looking for points of differentiation when selling notebooks, especially full speed high-end laptops.

The P8020 has speeds of 7.2Mbps UMTS with 3.5G and HSDPA functions, a 1.3 mega pixel camera, built-in microphones and dual stereo speakers, with VoIP and Internet chat.

"Fujitsu's LifeBooks offer that differentiation along the lines of better profit margins, Japanese made quality and reliability," said Lo.

"Premium notebooks appeal to corporate buyers and consumers who really value notebooks as a productivity tool.

"It's an art to sell premium laptop brands but resellers definitely benefit in terms of profitability and building a reputation of exclusivity and differentiating their business in selling laptops to savvy markets," he said.

The P8020/3.5G is a premium notebook designed for the busy executive, frequent travellers or people on the go.

"These people don't want to compromise with a small screen size as well as sacrificing on important day to day connectivity," said Lo.

"As far as we know the P8020 is the only 12" notebook on the market with all the following built-in connectivity in a compact 1.3kg chassis.

"It boasts a VGA output, three USB 2.0 ports, Firewire , Bluetooth, Wireless N, 10/1000 LAN, Optical drive and of course 3.5G . Apart from the high speed of 7.2Mbps, our 3.5G is compatible to all the frequency of 3G and 3.5G in Australia."

The notebook has 250GB storage and supports up to 4GB in memory.

It has a Dual Layer DVD Super Multi Writer and a built-in SD memory slot for transferring music.
