Dimension Data Learning Solutions (DDLS) is demonstrating the VMware vSphere 4 cloud operating system for data centres at a number of its training centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Canberra next month.
Presented by VMware engineers, channel partners will be able to find out how to leverage the technology to deploy low-cost cloud computing.
"Cloud computing is a game changer," said Neil Christie VMware product manager DDLS.
"The seminars are taking a global view of how services are delivered removing it from the physical hardware.
"We are looking at the next generation of IT service delivery and from a reseller point of view it's a massive change in the way organisations have to think about how they deliver to the business and manage their services."
DDLS has received over 80 registrations so far for the seminars.
"We will spending some time talking about the benefits of VMware vSphere over version 3.5 and demonstrate new features that enable companies to move towards internal cloud computing. It's not just the big companies that take advantage of the cloud anymore, smaller companies can implement the internal cloud," added Christie.
VMware recently announced that it had signed DDLS as a VMware Authorised Training Centre in Australia.
"We recently certified our 1000th VCP in Australia and we are pleased to be partnering with DDLS to offer a greater number of IT professionals in Australia the opportunity to become VMware certified," said Paul Harapin, VP of VMware A/NZ at the time.
