Forward IT scoops $1.4 million govt hardware contract

Canberra-based managed IT service provider Forward IT has picked up $1.4 million contract with the Department of Human Services.

The contract was scant on details, however, a DHS spokesperson told CRN the deal would see Forward IT supply tablets, associated hardware and licensing for the department’s staff.

The contract was awarded as part of a Digital Transformation Agency panel, and will run until November 2021.

Forward IT has landed a spot on numerous government procurement panel, most recently the DTA’s Hardware Marketplace arm, which allows the 36 listed resellers to supply IT hardware ranging from tablets and PCs to servers.

The company has staked its claim in Canberra by specialising in the government sector, with a particular focus on defence in 2018. Last year also saw Forward IT scoop a $5.1 million hardware deal with DHS.

Forward IT came in at No.9 in 2017 CRN Fast50 with 125 percent growth to reach $13.94 million in revenue that year.
