Australian HP managed print partner Forum Group has acquired national print business Imagetec and in doing so grown its business to about 6000 customers and set expected revenues to more than $75 million.
The buyout represents the latest in a string of acquisitions for Forum since it was founded in November 2011. Its other recent acquisitions include Chilliprint in 2014, QBM in June 2013 and Agem Printing in April 2013.
Imagetec provides managed print solutions and is a reseller for printers, accessories and related products.
Forum Group chief executive Bill Papas, who will continue to lead the combined entity said the acquisition would deliver benefits to existing Forum customers and add new value to Imagetec customers through a broadened range of products and services.
“On that note, I am especially pleased to announce that Craig Rollinson, the Imagetec CEO has accepted my offer to become the COO of Forum Group. Craig’s approach to operational excellence, combined with Forum’s proven sales capability, will mean great things for our business going forward,” he said.
Rollison, as chief operating officer, is tasked with bringing the two organisations together from an operational perspective.
“We have been able to drive significant efficiencies at Imagetec over the last few years,” Rollinson said. “And I look forward to being able to deliver even more improvements in this next exciting chapter of Forum’s history”
Forum Group, last year recognised as a leader in channel managed print services by HP, commences the integration with Imagetec this week and expects the process to be completed within 12 months.
