Express Data has promoted its Victorian branch manager Mal Shaw to the position of Australian sales general manager.
Shaw, 42, is responsible for nationwide sales and succeeds Ian Jansen. The distributor said it would shortly make a decision on a replacement for Shaw's previous role.
Shaw is an Express Data veteran joining the company in 1997 from reseller BCA IT.
“One the great strengths Express Data has is that they have long-standing employees in sales," he said. "Three people have been in the sales team for more than 10 years."
Shaw has 50 sales staff working under him across Australia. “After eight years with the business I’ve had a warm welcome to the role and am looking forward to the challenge, he said.
He will be based at the distributor’s Melbourne branch but would travel regularly to other branches around the country.
