Exinda Networks signs four American partners

Melbourne application traffic management vendor Exinda Networks has appointed four partners to resell its hardware in North America.

Exinda has signed Optimizedwan.com, IPtimize, WebSpy in the US and IT Channel Group of Canada, it said in a statement.

Con Nikolouzakis, director at Exinda, said the move was an initial plank in its North American presence.

"While we sell into 15 nations around the world, North America represents an important strategic thrust for Exinda," he said.

The company has called the move a breakthrough in its international expansion strategy. It had been exhibiting Exinda Optimizer and Compressor technologies at two trade shows in the US and one in Canada, Nikolouzakis said.

"These new links in the sales chain flow directly from our push into North America," he said.

Exinda had hired a US channel manager, Mark Murphy, to accelerate its drive for an American market for its medium to large enterprise and telecommunications customers. The vendor opened its first US office in March, he said.

Exinda had sold around 1000 units, including signing a deal to supply 16 of appliances to a skin care company, Stiefel. "Strong interest" had been shown by other potential customers, Nikolouzakis said.
