Ex IBM boss launches Acresso Software A/NZ

He wants to recruit up to 30 partners for its AdminSuite and up to 10 regional system integrators.

The partner program consists of elite, premier and registered members and benefits include access to its partner portal, release notifications, sales and technical seminars, technical support and market development funds rebate.

It works with Melbourne based distributor Microway.

"It took us some time to invest in the APAC region but we are now looking to expand on our opportunities there bringing more solutions to market," said Ison.

"We are looking to be more proactive with our partners rather than just give them products from the US.

"We want to leverage our relationship with them and we want to do more with our partners Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware because that attracts partners as well."

Acresso Software makes InstallShield and FLEXnet solutions including entitlement and compliance management; enterprise license optimisation; and application packaging and readiness.

Its customers include 3M, Boeing, Caterpillar, Dreamworks, Ford, Nokia and Northrup Gruman.

Ison is responsible for managing Acresso's sales teams, customer relationships, sales and support for AdminStudio, its FLEXnet Suite and Enterprise Compliance Solution.

He said AdminStudio cuts MSI packaging time by up to 70 percent, and can deploy software to desktops with a 99 percent success or better.

It works with deployment tools, including Microsoft Configuration Manager, Novell ZENworks, LANDesk Management Suite, Tivoli, and ManageSoft.

Ison said Microsoft is showcasing AdminStudio in conjunction with its Australian roadshow. The next session is in Hobart 20th May and Sydney 3rd June.

"AdminStudio enables the quick conversion of applications into virtual packages identifying which MSIs are good virtualisation candidates and converting them automatically," he said.

Ison has over 15 years of experience in IT industry sales, marketing and business development.

Prior to Acresso, he spent 11 years at IBM APAC, most recently as director of Business Development and Operations in Korea.

He was also IBM director for Industry Solutions APAC and launched and built the IBM WebSphere business in his role as business unit executive.

Prior to IBM, he was a major accounts manager A/NZ for Santa Cruz Operation, in Sydney.
