Network monitoring vendor Paessler has appointed George Wilson as its new senior sales manager for Australia and New Zealand and Adrian Lau in the equivalent position for Asia-Pacific.
Both new hires will be based in Sydney and will report to global chief operating officer Christian Twardawa.
They will be responsible for Passler’s market strategies, operations and services in their respective regions.
Prior to joining Paessler, Wilson spent nearly two years at distributor Arrow ECS as a channel sales manager. He also held roles at industrial security distributor Anixer for five years, including business development manager from 2011 to 2014.
“Australia and New Zealand are both markets that are unique and filled with massive potential,” said Wilson.
“I am glad to be given the opportunity to play a role in strengthening Paessler’s partnerships across the region, as we look to help our customers exploit and harness the disruptions we are seeing in the digital space.”
Lau brings nearly two decades of experience to Paessler, working in Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He held various sales roles with Avaya from 2001 to 2012 before joining Nuance Communications in as a sales director. Most recently, Lau was sales director for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea for communications vendor Sonus.
“I am delighted to be playing a role in driving change within the network monitoring industry in Asia and steering Paessler to even greater heights,” said Lau.
“I look forward to working with a talented and passionate team as we further our mission to help customers alleviate issues related to network availability and performance, so they can focus on more value-added activities that can better drive innovation and growth for themselves.”
Paessler signed its first big-name Australian distributor last year when it partnered with Dicker Data. Dicker sells the vendor’s flagship monitoring product for LAN, WAN and server networks, PRTG Network Monitor, along with Victorian distie Channel Success.
