The future looks set for Apple's new iPhone, with further reports emerging the device will have a slimmed-down 19-pin connector port.
Expected to go on sale around early October, Apple's next-generation iPhone will lose its traditional 30 pin port, reports Reuters, to make way for a newly-positioned headphone socket sitting alongside the port on the phone's underside.
The inclusion of a slimmed-down port first began surfacing in May reports.
The move will likely cause annoyance to existing iPhone customers with proprietary accessories, but may be a boon for accessory manufacturers.
Apple declined to comment.
