Swedish telco equipment giant Ericsson has named Matt Cook as its new of head of global channels, for its enterprise wireless solutions division.
In his new role, Cook will lead global channel and distribution initiatives to support Ericsson's recent investments and acquisitions in the enterprise market.
Cook brings extensive experience to his new position, having held leadership roles in commercial sales, global channel, and carrier sales at companies including CommVault, Armor Cloud, Ciena, and Cisco.
Throughout his career, Cook has consistently built strong partner ecosystems and implemented successful go-to-market strategies.
"Ericsson has made significant investments in the enterprise sector and has now taken steps to consolidate those efforts into a unified strategy," Cook said.
"To me, this presents an exceptional market opportunity for growth and collaboration," he added.
The appointment aligns with Ericsson's strategic push towards enterprise-driven 5G network adoption.
This move is part of Ericsson's efforts to bring greater value to enterprise customers.

Ericsson recently unveiled its strategy to offer a comprehensive, secure wireless platform for enterprise customers.
The company aims to help businesses seamlessly adopt and scale cellular technology.
Customers will be able to deploy and manage any solution from Ericsson's Enterprise Wireless portfolio under NetCloud Manager, a cloud management and orchestration platform.
