Epson has announced its first-ever A4 UV desktop printer, the SureColor V1060 (SC-V1060), will launch in Australia and New Zealand in the second half of 2024.
The SC-V1060 enables direct printing onto a range of materials including acrylic, metals, wood and canvas, and supports substrates up to 297mm x 210mm (A4), and up to 70mm in thickness.
UV curable UltraChrome UV ink with CMYK+white+varnish enable output on both rigid and flexible materials with Epson Precision Dot and Variable Sized Dot Technology.
Additional white ink and varnish can be applied as a layer or spot colour for improved image expression and finish quality.
Bearing dimensions W699 x D699 x H426mm, the SC-V1060 is designed to fit into limited spaces like retail environments, with its built-in air filtration system requiring no space at the rear to allow placement against a wall.
The printer features a 4.3” touchscreen with animated instructions, an automated cleaning system, and a 140ml replaceable ink pack system that helps reduce waste.
Epson Edge Print Pro software provides image editing tools via an interface, while Epson Cloud Solution PORT enables live production monitoring, reporting and job cost accounting.
An A3 version of the SC-V1060 is planned to launch in late 2024.
"The SureColor V1060 is an innovative printer and a game-changer in the world of UV printing," Epson Australia's professional print solutions division product manager Shuhei Sato said.
"We are excited to see this affordable solution opening up new creative horizons for retailers, designers and small businesses.”
