Queensland-based Entag has acquired Victorian-based MSP Rubicon 8 for an undisclosed sum.
Backed by the investment and partnership of Anchorage Capital Partners, the move combines Entag’s enterprise-grade delivery and cloud-focused solutions with Rubicon 8’s expertise in network, security and end-point services.
Entag CEO Kris Carver describes the venture as a "defining step" in the company’s evolution.
“Customers will gain access to deeper technology expertise, faster innovation cycles, and integrated platforms designed to grow with their business,” he said.
“This is more than a strategic move, it’s a clear signal to the market that we’re anticipating industry change and focused on delivering intelligent solutions that evolve with our clients’ ambitions.
“For our partners and vendors, this presents a compelling opportunity to collaborate with a high-performance, high-integrity team whose reach now spans right across the country."
“By combining resources and the expertise of our now 145-strong team, we are unlocking new levels of scale and market access thanks to creating deep domain expertise across areas of end-point device management, network, security, unified communications, Cloud, ICT managed services and physical security solutions."
This announcement comes after Entag was honoured as Telstra Enterprise Partner of the Year and Telstra Cloud and AI Partner of the Year, while Rubicon 8 was named Telstra Business Partner of the Year for the second consecutive year. Rubicon 8 also received the Telstra Data and Connectivity Partner of the Year award.
Earlier this year, Entag launched a physical security practice, marked by the acquisition of Proactive Technology Solutions, an Australian provider of cloud-based physical security and technology services.
2024 saw the company sign an exclusive partnership with Sydney technology company Devicie for Microsoft Intune deployments across enterprise and government sectors, as well as entering into a three-year, $2 million strategic partnership with Cura Day Hospitals Group to deploy a security network powered by Telstra's Adaptive Networks.
In 2021, Entag acquired Vita Group’s IT business Vita Enterprise Solutions.
