Entag launches physical security practice via Proactive Technology Solutions acquisition

Entag, an Australian technology solutions provider delivering cloud-first services across managed IT, communications, and digital transformation, has launched a physical security practice, marked by the acquisition of Proactive Technology Solutions (PTS), an Australian provider of cloud-based physical security and technology services.

The move aims to strengthen Entag’s ability to deliver cloud-based security solutions to businesses across Australia, further enhanced via a separate partnership with Verkada, an enterprise physical security company.

Aaron Morris, founder and director of PTS, will become Entag's physical security practice lead.

With the acquisition of PTS, Entag is now able to offer flexible and scalable cloud-managed security systems; integrated access control and surveillance in one platform; real-time monitoring and smart analytics; and a single provider for IT and security.

Entag CEO Kris Carver said security is seeing a convergence in cloud and physical domains.

"We're continuing to invest and build our top tier managed services capabilities powered by great people that deliver brilliantly; adding Aaron and team provides and great foundation for our Operational Tech expansion," said Carver.

Morris said joining Entag is an exciting opportunity to take what has been built at PTS and scale it even further.

Last year, Sydney technology company Devicie signed an exclusive partnership with Entag for Microsoft Intune deployments across enterprise and government sectors.
