eNerds wins award as customer, not as IT provider

Prominent Sydney managed services provider eNerds has won a vendor award, not as a reseller but as an end customer.

Business communications vendor Mitel announced eNerds and Kennards Hire as the only Australian winners of its Customer Innovation Momentum Awards for this year.

Both were customers through voice and data integrator Essential Data and Voice.

"Being recognised for our work with these awards reflects the high level of tailored outcomes we are able to achieve for our customers," said EDV director David Turnbull, adding that Mitel technology provides a "great return on investment".

EDV had deployed Mitel's MiContact Centre solution for eNerds. The awards committee stated that the project had led to "significantly reduced lost calls, increased customer retention and satisfaction, and improved visibility across operations".

eNerds chief technology officer Tristan Warner said “Mitel helped us lift staff productivity and improve our customer experience. It provided us with a lot of automation to reduce call waiting times and captured information that enabled us to improve our performance and business processes.”

EDV was also recognised at last year's inaugural CIMA for its work with Steinhoff, the parent company of furniture retailers Freedom and Snooze. The northern Sydney outfit is one of only three premier Mitel partners in Australia, according to its website.

eNerds made the CRN Fast50 list for four consecutive years between 2009 and 2012.
