Elastic achieves IRAP cybersecurity assessment

Elastic has successfully completed the Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment at the PROTECTED level for its cloud platform, enabling enhanced security capabilities for Australian government agencies.

The certification validates that Elastic's cloud services meet the stringent security requirements outlined in the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) by the Australian Cyber Security Centre.

The IRAP certification provides significant benefits for government organisations, including enhanced security assurance through rigorous expert assessments and support for workloads at the Protected security level.

"With cybersecurity threats evolving daily, we recognise that robust security is not just a feature - it's a responsibility," Anna Mascarelllo, regional vice president of public sector for Australia and New Zealand at Elastic said.

"Achieving IRAP assessment at Protected level means our Search AI platform can securely manage sensitive information, including data critical to government agencies."

Elastic's commitment to cybersecurity extends beyond this certification. The company also complies with multiple international security standards, including CSA STAR, ISO/IEC 27017, SOC 3, and UK Cyber Essentials Plus.

The Elastic Trust Centre demonstrates the company's transparency, providing comprehensive information about its security, compliance, privacy, and operational resilience.
