Dynatrace's software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform on Microsoft's Azure cloud has achieved PROTECTED status under the Australian government's Information Security Manual (ISM).
The independent assessment, conducted by cybersecurity firm Sekuro, enables Dynatrace to offer its artificial intelligence-powered observability platform to Australian government agencies and regulated industries with strict security requirements.
This certification follows a similar PROTECTED status achievement for the company's Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform last year, expanding Dynatrace's ability to serve customers regardless of their preferred cloud provider.
Rafi Katanasho, chief technology officer for Asia-Pacific at Dynatrace, said the achievement represented significant investment in the company's security capabilities.
"Attaining IRAP at the PROTECTED level signifies Dynatrace's continued investment in our security posture, as well as in the region and public sector," Katanasho said.
"This accreditation not only enables us to better serve the government sector with the highest level of performance and security, but also further strengthens our position as a trusted partner for enterprises across industries."
The Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment is a requirement for technology vendors seeking to provide services to Australian government departments.
It validates that data processed and collected within the Dynatrace Platform meets the applicable requirements in the June 2023 version of the ISM.
During the assessment, Sekuro worked with Dynatrace stakeholders to perform documentation reviews, technical configuration evaluations, and remote interviews to gather necessary evidence.
