Dubber acquires Daisee assets to expand AI contact centre capability

In summary

  • Dubber has agreed to acquire specified assets of Daisee for up to A$1.25 million, adding AI-powered contact centre technology to its platform.
  • The assets include Daisee's customer contracts, intellectual property, technology and selected supplier contracts, alongside certain personnel.
  • Completion of the transaction is expected in October 2026.

Dubber, a conversation intelligence platform for communications service providers, has entered into an asset sale agreement to acquire specified assets of Daisee Holdings Pty Ltd, adding AI-powered contact centre technology to its platform for a consideration of up to A$1.25 million.

The assets to be acquired include Daisee's customer contracts, intellectual property, technology assets and selected supplier contracts. Dubber also expects to take on certain Daisee personnel as part of the transaction.

Daisee provides AI services across voice recordings, specialising in the insurance and financial services verticals, and counts some of Australia's largest companies among its customers, Dubber claims. The company reported annual recurring revenue of just under A$1.7 million.

Daisee's technology evaluates contact centre conversations across multiple categories at what the company describes as human-level accuracy, using machine learning and natural language processing trained across tens of millions of phone calls.

Its proprietary algorithms can be deployed as pretrained models to new clients and are designed to produce deterministic - rather than generative - outputs, a distinction Dubber said is critical in regulated industries such as insurance and finance.

Dubber said the acquisition strengthens its broader AI product roadmap, which includes Dubber AI Notes - call recording summaries and intelligent triggers expected for market release this month - and a range of new AI products expected next month. The company is also expanding into compliant and non-compliant call recording and payments processing.

The maximum consideration of A$1.25m comprises up to A$1 million in cash, paid in three tranches - A$400,000 upfront on completion, then two deferred payments of A$300,000 at the six- and 12-month anniversaries of the agreement - and A$250,000 in Dubber shares.

Completion of the Daisee transaction is expected in October 2026.

In 2018, Daisee was one of the first 13 Australian startups that took part in its ScaleUp startup program in Sydney.
