Distributor DNA launches online demo centre

Big data and networking distributor DNA has launched an online demonstration centre for resellers.

The virtual demo centre allows DNA's partners, including Splunk, Imperva and A10 Networks, to "showcase complete solutions to potential clients".

DNA managing director Munsoor Khan said the goal of the demo centre was to show the integration between products so partners and their customers can have the “a-ha” moment and see how the solution could fit into their own technology architectures.

Partners can also use the demo centre as a technical training tool, getting hands-on experience with the technology within a safe, test environment. DNA engineers will be available to run demos for partners if desired.

Khan added: "The next logical phase is to go to other vendors that we don't represent and ask them to put their technologies in there, so we can offer an even more rounded solution."

The demo centre is available now; partners need to book a time to use it.

One of vendor partners already using the demo centre is security firm Imperva.

Paul Steen, the company's security engineer (SE) manager for Pacific and South Asia, told CRN: ""My SEs either use this to demo our product while at a customer site or we ask DNA to set up individual user accounts and let the customer trial it themselves.

"Last quarter the demo lab helped us overcome a significant obstacle as a large financial institution was able to trial our product in a virtual environment without going through the hassles and red tape of setting this up in their own data centre.

"Having the demo lab in our kit bag allowed us to stay nimble and this sales opportunity would have gone away very quickly if we were unable to offer this to the customer," said Steen.
