Dimension Data has inked a deal with data centre provider NextDC to offer the integrator's customers NextDC’s ONEDC data service as a rack solution.
The agreement will see Dimension Data able to offer the rack as a stand-alone product, or bundle it with DiData’s stack from any NextDC location in the country.
NextDC has five datacentre co-location facilities across Australia, with additional facilities in Sydney and Perth slated to come online in the next few months.
“This partnership allows Dimension Data to provide our clients with state of the art data centre space, strategically located close to the five capital cities and the ability to manage both production and disaster recovery in a cost effective manner, while ensuring the highest levels of availability and business agility,” said Dimension Data general manager for data centre services, Peter Prowse, in a statement.
NextDC’s recently appointed chief Craig Scroggie also weighed in and said he was please to be able to form a long-term relationship with Dimension Data.
DiData, the world's biggest systems integrator, has made considerable investments into its cloud capability over the past few years and is looking to position itself as a leading supplier of utility computing services in Australia.
