Yasser Elgammal, Dicker Data's longtime head of sales and vendor alliances, has left the company.
He joined the company in November 2014, tasked with "proactively developing Dicker Data’s cloud strategy in close partnership with key vendors" and taking operational responsibility for the national sales team.
He joined from Fusion-io, where he spent part of 2014 as country manager for ANZ.
Elgammal has also held sales leadership roles at Presilient, VMware and APC.
He told techpartner.news that he left Dicker Data after achieving exactly what he set out to accomplish when he joined following the Express Data acquisition.
"My goal was to build and scale the enterprise business, successfully merge the two sales organisations into one cohesive team, and establish a strong cloud foundation while driving the overall cloud strategy," he said.
"Over the 11 years that followed, we delivered record results year after year - and 2025 was no exception. During that time, we also established Dicker Data in the number one position in the market.
"Having accomplished those objectives and helped position the business for sustained success, I felt it was the right time to take on a new challenge"
Dicker Data also confirmed the departure in a statement to techpartner.news.
"After 11 years with Dicker Data, Yasser finished up at the end of December 2025. The Company wishes him the best for the future," the company stated.
Dicker Data returned to double digit sales growth in the six months ending June 30 2025, reporting an “accelerated PC refresh” and “AI driven deals” amid a “subdued” SMB market.
Elgammal was also a speaker at Pipeline 2023.
